New York/London/Singapore/Hong Kong/Sydney, March 20, 2017 – The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced that its subsidiary operating the Global Markets Entity Identifier utility[1] (GMEI utility) has received official accreditation from the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF). The GMEI utility was among the first legal entity identifier (LEI) issuers to be endorsed by the LEI Regulatory Oversight Committee (LEI ROC) and continues to operate as the largest by share of the total LEIs issued worldwide.
